About Libby

Abortion doula, advocate, and steward of reproductive justice.

Portrait of Libby

My Story

My name is Libby (she/her) and I have been working across the reproductive justice spectrum for the last decade. I serve as an advocate for survivors of violence. I have lobbied around repealing antiquated abortion laws, served as an in-clinic abortion doula for two clinics and been involved in policy work and abortion education with an Indigenous led grassroots organization in Northern NM, Tewa Women United. It is important to me that my role as a doula is rooted in larger activism as well as direct care, because I believe a more compassionate landscape around abortion care will support the individual's experience as well.

I am an abortion patient and have held folks in their abortion care as a worker, community member, neighbor, sister, lover, friend. I hope to hold many more through this profound period. It is important to me that I get to show up to you not as another “expert” in the room, but on equal footing, while using my experience and radical presence to help amplify your needs and wants. I have worked in schools with communities of all ages as an anti-oppression sex educator and have been a steward of transition for queer folks in my life before using the word doula.

My practice centers abortion, because I believe especially “elective” abortion seeking clients deserve to take up space with our experiences, and I keep myself rooted in reproductive justice to show up as best I can with my own privileges and experiences in tow.

My Approach

I believe sustainable and thorough care does not happen just in the climactic moments of birth or abortion, but before and after, and I am equipped with creative ways to show up with you throughout the entirety of your process. I do not believe anyone should have to experience their reproductive journey alone and would be honored to accompany you on yours.

Whether you're seeking in-clinic or self-managed abortion care, I offer virtual presence, in-person accompaniment when possible, and help with daily tasks or meals to support your body's recovery — all grounded in reproductive justice and offered on a flexible sliding scale.

“Through talking about fungi- you can talk about a lot of sensitive topics without making time about individual loss and grief but more like collective grief and how we move through that….and how we move through that together.”
